A SCIM term is an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to be considered as a qualified teacher of the DCI Global programs.
The upcoming term will be offered online.
SCIM will offer three terms per year. Each session will build on previous sessions and include new material.
To participate in a SCIM term, an individual must:
– Complete and submit the application form
– Be selected for the program
– Make full payment by payment date if you receive the Letter of Acceptance.
SCIM terms are planned for 3 sessions a year. It will take about 4 years to complete the 12 foundational levels of DCI Global teacher training and Diamond Mining modules of the program.
Geshe Michael Roach and selected DCI teachers will lead all classes. Geshe Michael Roach will teach a significant portion of the classes during the term.
The SCIM program classes are presented as training and preparation to teach courses offered by DCI Global and are derived from the teachings of ancient asian wisdom, with primary emphasis on the teachings of Master Je Tsongkapa (1357-1419).
All applicants will be evaluated and considered for admission. SCIM observes a code of ethics which will be expected of all students and included as part of the training.
The SCIM terms prepare each individual to be considered as potential teaching candidates in the worldwide programs of DCI Global. Once a student has graduated from three SCIM terms, they may begin to seek teaching opportunities with DCI Global and its worldwide partners. It is, however, the prerogative of DCI Global and its worldwide partners, reserving all rights to decide whether or not to accept teacher trainees as teaching interns or for any other opportunities.
A SCIM term is the beginning of training in teaching DCI Global principles. Successful graduation from a required number of SCIM terms make an individual eligible to apply to DCI Global for teaching opportunities.
